Year 5 enjoyed an absolutely fantastic time at Robinwood Activity Centres this year. They had the chance to take part in a variety of activities and challenges, from canoeing to a zip wire!
The children stretched themselves far beyond their comfort zone and pushed themselves to achieve in every challenge they faced!
They were a real credit to #teamRedwood, we are so proud of them!
Wishing all the children and families a very Happy Easter from everyone at #TeamRedwood.
Thank you to all the children who took part in the Easter Bonnet parades and design an egg competition. We were astounded by the generosity of the community donating 60 eggs/ chocolate goodies for our raffle and raising school an amazing £214.
This is very much appreciated, have a super Easter Holiday, Mrs Berry.
This week Acorns class had some very exciting farm visitors. The children had a fantastic time meeting the animals and even got to cuddle some new born lambs! We were incredibly impressed with the children's behaviour, they were so kind and caring towards the animals. It was lovely to see so many family members join us for this experience, thank you for helping make this such a special day!
Yesterday Y6 took part in Home Front Day. The children came dressed up as someone from the 1940's and spent the day learning all about what it was like to live during WW2. They dug for victory, made do and mended and learnt how to decipher Morse Code! It was a very fun filled and informative day.
On Monday Saplings class were visited by some mini beasts! The children were all very brave and enjoyed handling the insects and learning all about them.
Thank you very much Y1 for all your kind donations. On Friday, Mrs Furniss dropped off all the donated food at the Salvation Army in Maltby. The staff were very grateful for donations and know that your kindness will help many families in your local area. ๐
Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the Tropical Butterfly House yesterday. They had the opportunity to learn about and meet a variety of animals and even handle some insects! The children loved exploring the grounds and enjoyed their up close experiences with the animals.
