Year 6 had an amazing day at Crucial Crew yesterday. They took part in a variety of fun workshops, learning all about vital personal safety and behaviour topics. 
A huge well done to our Year 3's who delivered a fantastic Ukulele performance yesterday. The children worked hard all year to learn the songs and develop their skills, we are so proud of them. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, it was a great morning. ðķðĩ

Last week Acorns class took a trip to the seaside. The children took part in a variety of seaside activities such as building sandcastles and hook a duck. They even enjoyed a delicious fish and chip lunch! Thank you to everyone who came along, it was a lovely morning. 
Y2 had a fantastic trip to Bridlington last week. They enjoyed a walk along the promenade, had a dip in the sea and even rode a pirate ship! All the children were so well behaved and did #Teamredwood proud. It was a fabulous day! ðĶâąð
Last week Saplings had a fantastic visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. They had the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of animals and even handle a snake! The children loved seeing all the different animals and enjoyed an amazing day. 
Year 6 had an absolutely fantastic time on their residential trip to London this year. They enjoyed a guided tour of the city, visiting all the most famous sights of London, experienced a river cruise and a ride on the London eye, and took a trip through time at the British and Natural History Museums.
The children had an amazing few days and were a real credit to #Teamredwood. It was a truly exceptional experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime. 
Yesterday Y5 had a brilliant day experiencing life in the Victorian Era. They learnt how to sew, created some technical drawings and played a variety of Victorian games. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, the children had a fantastic time!
Yesterday Y3 had a visit from the History Van. They had a great day experiencing life from The Palaeolithic all the way to The Neolithic, learning how humans started as hunter-gathers and moved to farming. The children had an amazing time, it was another exceptional experience! 
Maltby Miners Memorial, who are preserving the rich mining heritage of the region, have provided the children with a unique opportunity to cultivate their love for plants.
The initiative, which took place over the past few months, allowed children from various local schools to participate in the planting and nurturing of vibrant flowers. The planters will be proudly displayed around the Miners Memorial Wheel in the heart of Maltby, adding a splash of colour and vitality to the town's landscape.
The Maltby Miners Memorial has long been committed to fostering a sense of community and preserving the historical significance of the mining industry. By extending the opportunity for children to engage in gardening, they have not only promoted a connection to nature but have also instilled a sense of responsibility and care for the environment.
The Gardening Crew would like to extend their thanks to Sharon Biggins, a Trustee of The Maltby Lands Foundation, for donating gloves and tools. The plants are flourishing in our vegetable patches. On Friday The Crew were thinning out the lettuces, carrots and beetroots and repotting the courgettes into larger plant pots.
